Texas State Flag

Welcome to Texas and a brief overview of The Lone Star State.

One of the four Southwestern States, Texas is located in the south central part of the 48 "conterminous" states. It's bordered on the north by Oklahoma and on the south by Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico. Texas is bordered on the east by Arkansas, Louisiana, and the Gulf of Mexico and on the west by New Mexico.

Up until 1959, when Alaska entered the Union, Texas was the largest state.
