One of the Midwestern States, Wisconsin is located in the north central part of the 48 "conterminous" states west of the Great Lakes. It's bordered on the north by Lake Superior and Michigan and on the south by Illinois. Wisconsin is bordered on the east by Lake Michigan and on the west by Minnesota and Iowa.
